From an email sent to STRR by TRU on December 26, 2006 ================================================================ As follow up to our discussion last week, here are the bullet point items that we agreed upon. 1. The TRU shall pay a total sum of $29,500 to cover all standard Cup and Friendly Matches within the TRU for calendar 2007. Payment of the above about shall be done in 3 installments as follows: (1/4) due and payable on Jan-2nd, 2007 being $7,375 (1/4) due and payable on Feb-15th, 2007 being $7,375 (1/2) due and payable on Aug-1st, 2007 being $14,750 Both parties agree to be proactive and work in good faith to cover all matches appropriately. In times of conflicting schedules/matches as it relates to rugby intensive weekends. The STRR will work with the respective clubs first to find an equitable resolution. If an agreement can not be sorted out, STRR will consult with the TRU for final scheduling/assignments. 2. The TRU shall pay a total sum of $100 per TRU playoff match. This includes Relegation/Play-In Matches, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals as outlined by the TRU playoff structure. The locations, yet to be finalized, shall be in Cities of reasonable travel distance for the STRR. The final number of matches is to be confirmed with Dave Jenkins and Chris Callan. Chris estimates it to be a total of twenty-nine (29 @ $100 = $2900) matches based on his review of the schedule. The total number to be confirmed by Dave Jenkins upon his return. Payment for these matches shall be due and payable within 15 days of receipt of an electronic invoice for the completed playoff matches. The STRR acknowledges that failure to supply Referee's and TJ's to the schedule matches may result in a deduction of fee's from the invoiced amount. For clarification, in such case that fee's were to be deducted, the schedule of fee's would be as follows: Referee $40, $25 per TJ and $10 per #4 = $100. 3. The TRU is committed to supporting the recruitment of new referee's in 2007. The TRU will work with the STRR to develop a sound and fiscally reasonable plan to recruit, train and implement additional referee's. The details and costs of the plan will be a work in progress but both parties acknowledge that this matter needs to be of high priority and a working plan should be detailed by the end Jan-2007 so that the TRU member clubs can review and vote on the plan at or before the TRU 2007 Winter AGM. Dave / Chris: If there are any errors or omissions, my apologies. If this is a suitable agreement please acknowledge accordingly. Respectfully submitted, David McPhail ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
